Girls Weekend at Butlins, Bognor Regis
Had a fabulous girly weekend at Butlins in Bognor with Ellie, Katie and Zoey.
Lots of dressing up, drinking and dancing, not much sleep but great fun. It was Skool Reunion weekend so adults only!
Katie even got to meet her hero, Pat Sharp the DJ with long hair who used to present Funhouse - remember!

Visiting France
We took our annual trip with Pete’s family to France in February 2008 this year to visit my parents.

A day tip to visit La Rochelle on the coast,

I got a chance to cuddle my cat Big. This is one of his favourite spots.

Ouch!
Finally Pete and I enjoyed a few hours in Paris before our journey back home, so we enjoyed a lovely picnic under the Eiffel Tower.

Red wine, cheese and a crusty baguette - what more could you want!

Salzburg Weekend 1
I have just returned from a fabulous weekend in Salzburg, Austria. I went with my friend Heather to celebrate her (30th) birthday (i’m sure she won’t mind me saying!)
Here is a pic of us on top of Untersberg enjoying a well earned beer!

Namaste - India 2006
I went on my annual trip to india this September. I try and go every year to visit my friend Rachel who has set up an animal shelter in Ajmer, Rajasthan.
This was my 2nd year and I was there just in time to enjoy the Tree Of Life’s 1st birthday. Here we all are at the rooftop party to celebrate!

On my annual trip to India this year I was on my own. Pretty scary stuff but after my 2 weeks volunteering at the Tree of Life for Animals shelter I ventured north to Dehra Dun in the state of Uttaranchal. I went there to visit my friend Helen who was volunteering at a Christian Hospital. We enjoyed a day trip to Rishikesh and visited the temples as well as a bathe in the holy River Ganges.

Our Ibiza Trip
We had our first trip to Ibiza this summer. We had great weather and had a fantastic time. We did the obligatory visit to the sunset strip visiting Cafe Del Mar and Cafe Mambo, a heavy (and pricey) clubbing session at Manumission as well as a spot of sunbathing at one of the idyllic nudist beaches.

A Summer in France
Pete and I had a lovely summer in France. Lots of long sunny days spent drinking beer in the sun and enjoying lots of BBQ’s. We also learnt how to play Boule - French Style.

Isles of Scilly by helicopter
I know Pete and I are on one big permanent trip but I couldn’t resist adding our recent day trip to St Mary’s - one of the Scilly Isles.
We had a fantastic day - what made the trip even better was I finally got to have a ride in a helicopter!

A very excited me before take-off
On the way home Pete got the best seat on the helicopter.

The Channel Islands
This is us arriving into Guernsey one of the Channel islands by ferry. The weather was pretty miserable and I was seasick the whole way!

Arriving into Guernsey by ferry
We also got stopped by customs and were questioned and searched before even setting foot onto the island - we obviously looked like a very dodgy couple!
Despite that we had a great day.

Us in India 2

Thought it’d be nice to have a picture of us up here! This was taken on the roof of Rachel’s (unfinished) house in India.
Back From India 1
We’re back from our two-week trip to India - we were visiting our friend Rachel and her new charity The Tree Of Life For Animals. It’s already doing good work out there, treating many of the thousands of sick animals that live on the streets.
We stayed with her in Pushkar, in the north-western state of Rajasthan. Pushkar is a very holy place to Hindus, which meant that for two whole weeks I had to forsake meat and alcohol :(

Kim and I are going to be quite heavily involved with TOLFA over the next year - I’ve already done a very quick website for them (at thetreeoflife.org.uk) and the new version will be based on the same software as this site.
We’ll be writing more about our trip soon.
