Pete's 30th Birthday
Pete finally caught up with me in March this year and turned the grand age of 30!
We had a mini celebration on the day but held off anything bigger until after the Hastings Half Marathon.
Oh dear, Pete turns 30 and realises he cannot take his drink anymore
We had a house party to celebrate (2 weeks after his actual birthday )courtesy of our friends Lucy and Andy who loaned us their larger house to contain all our friends.
Chris Cootes did a brilliant disco and we all had a great time. Take a gander at some of the results a bit of alcohol can have!

Silly Slogans
It has become a bit of an obsession of mine to look out for vans with funny taglines. I try to get them on camera when I can. Here is what has tickled me so far:-
Juicy Pear Van - disgraceful!
We Open Wider Van - how rude!
A state registered hairdresser? What is one of those?
Best Blonde Joke in the World?
Found possibly the best blonde joke in the world whilst browsing the net the other day.
Use Markdown to format your comments
The blog software we’re using (Typo) has a couple of great filters that allow you to write fancy-schmancy HTML in articles and comments without actually having to know any.
To me, the most impressive is Markdown because the syntax is immediately familiar to anyone who uses text email.
For example, to emphasise a word you do *this* (i.e. produces this). Use two **asterisks** to make it bold.
- You can
- produce
- a list
by typing this:
- item 1
- item 2
- item 3
Links
Links are very easy.
[Google UK](http://www.google.co.uk)
will produce this: Google UK
Headings
You can create headings in a number of ways. Either underline it with - or =, like this:
heading
-------
or add # before the heading text. You can add between 1 and 6 #s - 1 produces the biggest title, 6 the smallest.
# Largest Heading (i.e. H1 in HTML)
###### Smallest (H6)
